Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
